Excellent breakfast option in the old city at really reasonable prices. The coffee and food are both fantastic, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Careful!!! They sell tap water 1.66dll for 1/2lt. a shame for a restaurant with the most delicious cakes in Cartagena.

Lovely limonada de coco and great selection of cakes, I got a slice of porteno to take away. Had food as well, ceviche de camarones vey good - large portion and big juicy prawns

Great food, excellent customer service. The staff is very friendly and make fue feel like you are at home. Prices are also affordable and cakes are delicious.

I love the desserts and coffee here, especially the brownies. The breakfast is also pretty good. Overall though the atmosphere is a bit odd and the service is quite slow.

Went here on a friend's recommendation. She used to go regularly however this time the service was extremely slow and they brought all of our food at different times. I tried their their beef special which is similar to a roast meal. The beef was extremely tough however the planting was nice and crispy. The cakes looked good in the case but we did not try any after the service was so for . Would not return to this establishment.

I used to love this place. I would come back only for the delicious cakes and coffee, but the place looks rundown. A note to the owner, please take care of the place. It used to be the place to go for coffee with great service, clean and with a good vibe. I am not sure what happen but I am sure some love, care and training to your staff would improve your place :)

Fantastic food. Great service. I had the turkey sandwich for lunch. It was a moist roasted turkey breast with delicious bread, cheese, fresh sliced tomatoes and a sauce. The fried plantain chips were the best I had in Cartagena. I had the limon pie for dessert. The flavor was good and the meringue was tasty with a smooth texture and the perfect balance of sweetness. However the texture was a bit off and not as silky and light as I expect from a lemon pie. Not all the starch had been cooked out of it. The rest of my family had good food entrees too, and the desserts were done well.

Came here twice during our trip to Cartagena. The first time we just stopped in to pick up a to go dessert for us and friends. The desserts were absolutely wonderful so we decided to come back to eat here. This decision wasn't good because the service we received was god awful. We eventually left without even receiving everything we ordered but could see sitting on the other side of the counter as our waitress ignored them.

Mila Vargas is a classy, upscale, European flavored cafe that caters to those who are looking for an experience of the old world in Cartagena. I had a simple warmed brownie dessert and coffee with milk. The coffee came with a separate ornate silver pot for the milk. It's on the higher end budget wise; hence the two taster items I chose. A very nice experience.
