Of all the research I did online to find a half day tour to a coffee farm, this was the only tour agency I found. Andres, the owner, was very hospitable over the telephone and communicated effectively via messaging to set up a time for us to visit a local farm outside of Medellin. He arranged for us to meet our guide, Sara. She picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the farm about 30 minutes outside the city.

Located in the mountains, the scenery was breathtaking. She went with us on the tour which was lead by the owner of the farm. The coffee farm has been family owned since the 1960's We learned the step by step process of how coffee is made and went into the field to pick coffee beans. We were pleasantly surprised to see banana trees growing on the farm as well. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to drink some coffee.

Sara did a wonderful job by giving us a lot of interesting facts about the city, both past and present. It was a delight to spend the afternoon with her.

Our day trip to Jardin with Juan and Landventure Travel was one of the best things we did our entire time in Colombia. Communication with Andres and the rest of the team beforehand was super easy. We set up the trip via email and specified that we wanted to go to Jardin for some coffee tours but didn’t want to do the horseback riding portion of the tour. The morning of, Juan (our guide) picked us up at the hotel and drove us to Jardin. The drive is around 2.5 hours both ways but it is completely worth it. Juan was extremely kind and knowledgeable, and knew tons about the region surrounding Medellin which he told us as we were driving.

The day began in the town of Jardin with some coffee tastings, and ended eating a homemade lunch on a coffee farm overlooking the most breathtaking view. I learned so much about the process of coffee, experienced the beautiful landscape and felt the warmth of people in the region. It’s absolutely worth it to book the day trip with Landventure Travel - you’ll see things in a different way than you would if you were on your own. I’ll be booking a day trip to Guatape with them next time I’m in Colombia!

We had a great horseback riding excursion (Santa Elena day trip) with LandVenture Travel! LandVenture was very easy to communicate with, and the tour was authentic, informative, beautiful and FUN! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we loved that LandVenture was able to accommodate our small group of 2.

Best experience through the Jardín Region! Pleasant car ride and lots of space. Worth every penny! Our guide Juan was amazing and very friendly. We had the best coffee in a little cafe in the plaza of Jardín.

The views at the top are spectacular! Can't be beat!

If you don't have a great time on a tour with these guys, then the problem is with you!

My wife & I did the horseback trip through Jardín & it was the BEST! The horses were responsive, the food was delicious, the scenery was second to none, & Andrés (our guide) is the coolest guy in Columbia. If you are a tourist going through Medellín, & you pass up on this excursion, you are living your life incorrectly.

In seriousness, our trip couldn't have been better. They were professional & everything was perfectly executed.

    Horseback Riding Tour:
Had an excellent tour through the mountains with Ignacio! The horseback riding tour was so much fun, very safe, had the most incredible views of Medellin, and informative of the region and culture :) We were very well taken care of the entire time, picked up, dropped off, got delicious snacks and drinks at the ranch, and stopped by a great restaurant with traditional Colombian food!

My wife and I spent 3 days traveling through Guatape, Medellin and Jardin with Alejandro as our guide. I can't imagine how the trip could have been better. Alejo was amazing - the friendliest person we've ever met and with an encyclopedic knowledge of the region. There is simply no way we could have done the things we did, seen the sights we saw and experienced these areas the way we experienced them without him. We can't recommend LandVenture Travel - and Alejo, in particular - strongly enough. Thanks again, Alejoyou made our trip!

We did the Concordia Coffee Tour last January. The tour was amazing, highly recommend it and definitely worth every penny. We had some amazing experiences and saw fascinating things, even if you are not a coffee drinker! Andres was knowledgeable and the tour was perfect. We are looking forward to doing more tours with him when we return this coming January.

As a solo traveler, I wrote to inquire about joining an existing tour. They didn't have anything booked when I originally emailed, but Andres later reached out to ask if I was still interested, as they now had a group going. Andres was very informative throughout the process, confirming times, what to bring, etc I don't consider myself a "tour type" (e.g. this was the third group tour in 15+ years of travel), but this was great. Our guide, Alejandro, was very knowledgeable about culture, politics, and history, and I learned way more than I expected to. Our horses were perfectly suited for beginner riders, and the landscape we passed through was a good example of the local countryside. It was interesting to see the contrast between Medellin and the immediate outskirts. Our actual riding time was cut a bit short because of rain, but overall, the day exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!
