Very nice remodeled hotel with retro looks right in front of Marbella beach. About 6 minutes walking from the old City, so do not take a cab from there, if it's necessary go with Uber. Choose to have breakfast in the city to get a better experience than in the hotel, bring drinking water from the store, really expensive at the hotel. You can get a really good look of the sunset if your room is facing the beach

I had a great time here. IDs of guests are checked, but that is only for your protection. I felt very safe here and there is a safe in the room to lock up your belongings. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff very welcoming. There are always taxis readily available, but beware that they will overcharge you if you are a foreigner. But this is the way it is in all cities and is no fault of the hotels - Overall, I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend that you do too!

Good price, basic budget service, cab fare to the old city about $2.50US. Restaurant's food below quality at the hotel, overall menu expensive. Beach across the street fine and relaxing. There no swimming pool and services a supermarket one block away. Airport is only 10 minutes away a big plus vs the Bocagrande área. The employees are attentive.

The room was very clean and I would’ve given it more stars but I had such a hard time getting someone to come unlock my bathroom door. It was locked from the moment I got there and took them almost 2 hours before they finally sent someone up to unlock it. And I had to call four times to get someone to help me.
The beds were horribly uncomfortable as well. But I understand now that they put plastic sheeting underneath the regular sheets because it’s so humid there.
The shower was really nice and had great water pressure.
I had a room facing the ocean but the windows are about 4 feet from the floor and so you can’t view the water unless you are standing with your face right to the window.
Everywhere in the hotels smelled very clean.
I did eat breakfast there two mornings. It was very wonderful plate of fruit and a latte.

Excellent hotel. Guest friendly which is hard to find in Cartagena. Only issue was the shower head which was directly above a person's head. You have to angle it towards the wall in order to prevent the water from hitting your head. Besides that excellent hotel. Breakfast is ok you have to pay around 13,500 pesos which is approximately $5 dollars. If you walk two blocks left as you exit you will see a few restaurants and a market where you can get breakfast for an even cheaper price. Beach is two blocks left. Arport is 5 min away approximately 11,000 pesos. Can't beat that!

A relief from the hotel I had to move from. Ibis' rooms are sound-proofed; A/C is well-engineered. With humidity, latter is very important. Nice to have beach in front; hotel gives towels and has outdoor shower, so I swam a lot. Everyone from manager to security guard very attentive. Second floor is restaurant but also a place to work and look over ocean. Hotel is a decent but not too long walk to old town, along safe street. I was very happy with this hotel. Since I looked extensively at Cartagena hotels, I believe this is best in price range.

I had a short experience on a simple but clean room with basic services.
For me its necessary to add a water bottle to the room since Cartagena's water is not recommended for drinking and this for me is a basic.
I also would be nice to have the option to ask for a kettle to be able to make coffee or tea. This is a regular thing in most basic or business hotels but I understand is not into your policies.

Its a good hotel to stay. Single bedrooms are simple and include basics: Queen size bed, a small bathroom with cold/hot water, an extra bed that is hidden and a small wardrobe. Service at entrance is nice. Next to the lobby you will find an small lounge to order coffee or drinks. They offer taxi service but you it will better to use Uber (cheaper in comparison with taxi drivers that will charge you double or triple). If you need to check out earlier but you will leave the city some hours later they will save your luggage until you pick it up again. Finally this plase is better for business travels than vacations with family or only your couple as there is neither pool nor a balcony in the bedroom Overall good service.

I enjoyed the stay with friendly front desk assistants. Check in and check out was quick and efficient.

Breakfast was better than expected with a good variety.

The hotel is righ on the beach front. Walking back from the historic centre where we had gone for supper was pleasant although at times we didn't feel entirely safe. A taxi or Uber would have solved that but we chose to walk.

    I would stay there again.

We stayed here a few nights, although the personnel was kind and the rooms were clean, I didn't feel they made the extra effort to really make us feel welcome and the price is in the range that I really think they should. Breakfast we had to pay extra. No laundry service, they kept on telling the service is not now and didn't say when you could bring it. There is a taxi service but they don't know anything about any other transportation or where you can find a travel agency or tour operator, they don't speak English and I'm really making an effort in Spanish but I don't feel they do the same. In any hostel anywhere else around the country personnel was more helpful then in this pretty expensive hotel. Because of the weekend we had to chose this hotel and I do understand why they still had rooms available.

Everything was good, clean room, the food was good too, the location perfect. There was only one thing I did not like at all, one night I went to the restaurant to buy some food, I was a little thirsty so I asked one of the ladies who work there (Raiza) for a glass of water, she denied that glass of water and offered me water from the bathroom sinkSomething as simple as a glass of water shouldn't be a problem for a hotel, I mean, I would've bought a bottle of water if she gave me that option but didn't happen.

It was pretty good. Overall I had no problem all though there are a couple of things I´d like to suggest for improvement.
The hotel stay was expensive enough to include breakfast, but that wasn't included and I had to pay an extra fee every morning for it. That was disappointing.

On the other had, I understand the hotel in Cartagena is mostly used for tourists that go and spend most of the day outside. However, I went to Cartagena on a business trip, I had to stay in the hotel a good 5 hours sometimes and it was a bummer there wasn't a gym to work out. It would be a good thing to add to the already great hotel. Or at least a Jacuzzi. It's not the main attraction, but it would certainly up your game.

Besides that I had no trouble, people who work there were extremely nice, everybody smiling and it was great that there was a taxi service outside which the hotel provided and you could trust knowing the taxi driver wasn't going to over charge me.

Great location with reasonable rates. The on-site restaurant has good food (the breakfast was especially good), and the views are great from just about anywhere in the hotel.

You drive your car on to an elevator to park in the garage - very cool! But, to be expected from Ibis, room is very very small, no phone to call out, only one outlet for laptop/phone charging. Parking garage was very uncomfortable to get to and from when inside hotel. No English Speaking Staff.

Nice peaceful place, the price is more than right for what you get and is located in a central area.

If you're looking for a quaint romantic place, this ain't it. Otherwise it's an amazing cost benefit. 5 minutes from downtown, clean rooms, good bed and shower.

Was there for 11 tortorous days SMH!!! It was embarrassing to not have water to flush when you wake up, no one had an exact response of why it happened, they're all looking at you dumbfounded. Me and my boyfriend left for the day to the beach, came back in the evening, reception said oh water has been restored, when we got back to our room, no water to shower or in the sink. Went downstairs to reception to complain, then you have one of the clerks catching an attitude plus raising her voice, how dare you yell at customers as if its our fault you offer a hotel with no running water!! Then the next day our key card didnt work at our room, went downstairs to reactivate our card, they gave us the keycard to the wrong room, why? because they never ask for your name or anything to what room, they just gave you the card, NO SECURITY AT ALL. Plus when you walk into their rooms, it has a foul odor, from the bathroom, the sink itself, as if water is coming straight from the ocean. THIS HOTEL NEEDS ALOT OF IMPROVING WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICE, HOSPITALITY, THEIR DINNER SUCKS, WE ASKED FOR A PARRILLADA AND THEY GIVE SLICED UP HOT DOGS, WTF IS THAT???? The only thing I cant complain is that the AC was running very well and their elevator parking garage was great but everything else SUCKED. SO I HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANY TOURISTS HEADING TO CARTAGENA!!!!!!! ZERO STARS IN MY OPINION.
