This has been a big disappointment. Wait service has been indifferent or non existent. Starters and main courses served at the same time to rush us. We asked to return the main courses until we finished appetizers. Warmed up dry entrees returned. My duck was tough and not eatable. I cannot recommend this “famed” place.
Great food and service, been there for muy graduation, it was perfect.
Nothing is bad, but nothing was particularly impressive. There are many better restaurants for much less nearby. Additionally, though the host was nice the wait staff was somewhat rude
Top of the line experience.
Harry Sasson is the kind of place to take someone for a business lunch or dinner, with excellent service and a very formal and quiet ambiance. Meats are particularly good, and when it comes to desserts, the pavlova is a must. It is not a cheap place at all, but the cost-benefit relation is not bad.
One of the BEST restaurants in Bogotá. I personally do not like "morcilla," however in this place it had an out of this world flavor! Very elegant restaurant with lots of business people & Congressmen.
The restaurant itself was appealing, it was nicely decorated. I ordered the lobster dish and found it to be undercooked and paid for it with a very upset stomach throughout the night. My wife ordered the New York steak and only ate a portion of it because it was overcooked and lost it's flavor. The service was average at best, we had to ask the waiter to change our salad dishes after we finished our salad when the appetizers came out. The fact it was our first wedding anniversary made it all the more of a disappointment. Based on my experience I would not return.
This restaurant had been highly recommended and was a disappointment in every regard. We were seated in the noisy area of the bar, rather than the more quiet part of the establishment even though we had reservations and the place was not busy upon arrival. Upon being seated we were offered drinks but no menus. The lulu juice, my favorite in Colombia, was a frozen drink and not very tasty. Three of us were given Spanish menus and the one "white" appearing person in our party was given an English speaking menu. We started with the pulpo, the octopus, and the only appealing thing about it was the cilantro sauce. The pulpo was very salty and the bacon accompaniment even moreso. Among the dishes we ordered, the robata cordero, a lamb dish with pistachios and yogurt was very salty. A spinach accompaniment with pine nuts and raisins was equally salty. I got through the lamb and spinach only by ordering more water to drink to avoid getting a bad salt induced headache. The robata langostino made with garlic, pineapple, and cilantro was plain. The shrimp was overcooked and tasted like rubber. The arroz frito, a stir fry rice dish made with shrimp, chicken was poorly done. Like the lamb, the prominent flavor was salt, and more salt. The shrimps were overcooked. The one saving grace of the meal was the pato, the duck. For a dinner for four, without alcohol, for $272,705 Colombian pesos or USD $145, look elsewhere and skip this place. It's not worth the hype.
