Su arquitectura moderna y amigable con los habitantes y visitantes de la ciudad lo han covertido en sitio obligado para turistas; ademas se encuentran diversas instituciones del orden nacional, departamental y municipal, lo que facilita efectuar muchos trámites ante las instituciones del Estado.

MI DIOS LOS BENDIGA, A MI TAMBIEN SE ME PONE EL CORAZON GRANDE CUANDO ESCUCHO EL VIEJO HINNO DE ANTIOQUIASI ALGUIEN ESTA LEYENDO ESTE COMENTARIO, FAVOR ENVIARSELO AL DR LUIS GOBERNADOR, YA QUE EN LA FRONTERA NORTE CON EL DPTO DE CORDOBA, SE VA A PERDER UN BELENCITO, .,..MAS PEQUEÑO PERO LLEVA EL MISMO DESTINO DE BELEN DE BAJIRA, QUITARSELO A LOS PAISAS, ANTES , LOS LIMITES DE CAUCASIA LLEGABAN AL CAÑO SAN MATIAS, YA NO LLEGAN A LOS LIMITES, EN CAMPO ALEGREPARECE QUE EL CODAZI YA TIENE LISTO PUBLICAR ESTE MAPA, CON SEMEJANTE ATRACO, PARECE, SE COMENTA EN LOS MENTIDEROS POLITICOS, QUE TODO ESTO LO ORQUESTO EL MINISTRO CRISTO Y LO DEJO LISTOESTE SEÑOR NO QUIERE LOS PAISAS, Y SE SACO EL CLAVO AYUDANDO A ROBAR AL DPTO MAS DE CIEN MIL HECTAREASY JUANPA¡¡¡?? Centro administrativo de la ciudad y del departamento,
Tiene mucha historia Y centros turísticos, la oferta en tour ha crecido muchísimo, se ve mucha afluencia de extranjeros conociendo el centro de la ciudad.
Allí se encuentra la antigua estación del ferrocarril de antioquia muy recomendado.
