Great place to visit. It is not crowded, so you can better enjoy with your family.

Good for a day trip only. Would not sleep there. Beach is small, it is ok when it is not crowded. Water is hot but beach is not super clean, rocks and algaes deep inside. Food is good but we expected a buffet.

Went here for a day retreat with a group of friends, everything was good during the transfers from Cartagena to the island - when we arrived however that's where it ended. We ordered snacks and drinks from the bar and we were made to wait 1 hour, then turns out they forgot to place our orders through. This happened to several people. To top it off we were asked to pay a surcharge on our orders that weren't mentioned prior to ordering.
Our pre-paid lunch was also a mess, half of our group got their food and the rest didn't - they were made to wait 2 hours after apparently they ran out of food, even though all the staff had a serving while other guests were left waiting.
On the plus, the island is really nice and a great destination. The management just really needs to sort out their priorities.response / report this review -

Our visit was during the day. The experience was very good, the boat ride, the beach is fantastic. If you have the opportunity to stay longer and totally relax. 100% recommended.

El gente de mar resorte se encuentra en las islas rosario cerca de Cartagena.
El resort tiene todo tipo de amenidades wifi buffet servicio de meseros en la playa y actividades acuáticas.
La playa del lugar es hermosa y el servicio es excelente.

After reading reviews that Playa Blanca was crowded and filled with pushy salespeople, we opted for a private resort beach, and it was beautiful and quiet, as promised! You take a boat out to the island (about 45" from Cartagena) at 9 am, and you'll be dropped off on a beach with chairs, towels, kayaks, etc. Lunch is included (rice, fish, plantains, salad; simple but good), and if you walk around the island, you may also spot a peacock (!) and a baby monkey (!!). My only quibble is it's a bit pricey for a fairly short excursion, you'll have to be back on the boat at 3 pm to leave and I almost missed it because I'd gone for a walk around the mangroves.
