A lot of stairs that proves that the way to heaven requires effort but it worths it. What a remarkable view!
Amazing view! Worth the visit! I took a bus from Medellin to get there!
Fun on the way up and down, cool view from the top - but very crowded. Similar to Wyna Pichu.
Pace yourself - The view at the top is amazing.
As a man in my early 60's, I looked up the stairs, and my first reaction was that this trek may be a bit too much for me. The key is to pace yourself, and take in the fabulous views as you walk up. Take as much time as you need, and for me the numbering on many of the steps were good benchmarks as to how far I had gone. And once I reached the top, it was all worth it ! The panoramic 360 degree view is spectacular. This is must see and do when in Medellin.
An amazing view on the top of the rock ! Take around 20 minutes to go up so its not very hard.
BUT it is a big tourist trap, selfie paradise, crowded so if you looking to relax and enjoy a beautiful view in peace and quiet THAT IS NOT THE PLACE
La Piedra is a giant granite outcrop with nearly 700 step to the top and tower mirador. Steps to top and down are easy to negotiate. As of June 2017 entrance fee 18000. Fantastic views across lake and Highlands from top. Some fairly tacky shops at the top.
If you're in Guatape, you HAVE to visit La Piedra, the views are absolutely breath taking (as you can see from people's posted pictures).
The climb itself doesn't take long but can be quite tiresome but it's easy to rest and even the most unfit of people will easily be able to climb it.
It boasts about having some of the best views ever and it's DEFINITELY up there!
It's a beautiful touristic place. Filled with people from allover the world. It has a delighting view.
Amazing place, definitely worth the 740 steps. On the top, there are many shops for water, snacks, or beers. There are sovurnier shops inside the tower.
This is something special it's a must see when in Medellin just take the local bus there. It's costs around $6 to get in but it's worth it for the views. Try and go on a sunny day as the water changes to a beautiful turquoise colour.
