Spectacular gift from nature that quiets the mind with its beauty
🇨🇴 one of the highest mountain trek,
It’s my most memorable trekking of my life,
Beautiful views, from base camp area till top.
It’s best you leave early morning around 6, some jeep and trucks are available pre booking is best, also get your entrance pass to enter in park,
Be ready for proper trek, don’t waste time on middle steady and slow keep moving, take some rest in middle.
Managemant is helpful but remember to comeback prior to sunset 🌅.
By the way there are some cabana’s available to stay near base camp ⛺️ area.
Must visit and experience .
Best experience see pics for reference.
Good luck 😉 Have fun
You can do it.
NO MORE ACCESS WITHOUT GUIDE AND NOT ALLOWED TO SLEEP INSIDE PARK! This made it complicated and expensive:( Its a beautiful stunning place though:)
Great to do some hikes
In the high altitude. I would love to come back again. You should give it a try.
It was an amazing journey, the landscape is pretty breathtaking.
Amazing national park and open again. The local park headquarters in town (near the central market in El Cocuy) will tell you that you need a guide, insurance, and registration fee in order to do ANY hiking in the park. While you should definitely get a guide and insurance if you're going overnight or deep into the backcountry, you don't need any of that to hike at Valle de Lagunillas or from el Refugio La Esperanza. The security guards/rangers will welcome you and totally let you day hike without anything special. Absolutely stunning alpine environment about 8.5 hours from Bogotá.
The place is very nice but there is too many restrictions and native people problems, you cant go to the park to camp or bike, expensive services without added value
Laguna grande de la sierra. New rules are terrible, park virtually empty though.
The entire park was to ourselves, a hidden gem. Weather is tricky though.
It was a wonderful Expierence to hike there.
Such a great place to visit. Landscape is wonderful and people are amazing! This is a must-visit place.
muy lindo este sitio si ,pero es una las tima absoluta que lo vayan a cerrar por la maldita corrupcion de este pais
Amazing national park with amazing national park with Crazy beautiful views! Sadly the park has been closed for a little over three months because the indigenous people are arguing with the government and you are not able to make it to the very top.
Great
Wonderful mountain landscape. Safe and well organized
