Nice place but need to public transport the taxi expensive different prace wanted the taxi driver and lying
A historic site that should part of a visit to Cartagena . Most of the information plaques are only in Spanish -have a guide give you the tour of La Popa. View of the city is great. Book a round trip taxi to prevent a lengthy wait at the top.
Best views in Cartagena. Well worth the drive and the $4 admission.
Whether you're religious or not, this place is worth seeing just for the views of the city below. The Monastery is beautiful and well-preserved. There's a couple of vendors outside trying to sell the usual stuff but they leave you alone if you tell them, "no". Add this place to your list!
I thought it was worth it for the view here! You get to see the city of Cartagena from a high point. Truly breathtaking. It will cost you around 10000 COP to get into the monastery area to see the view.
Must come here by a tour bus, a taxi or a uber. Walking here is not advisable because one, you're going uphill, and two, to put it in perspective, it's an hour walk from the fortress.
This place have great view and religious experience. History About the cartagena's Indians, agustinianos recoletos monks and María candelaria mother of God.
Great view of Cartagena and a beautiful church as well. I found interesting all the historical items with their history explained; as well as the wide collection of foreign bills.
Interesting place with views of the city but you would not spend more then 30 min there, best seen by tour bus as expensive by taxi
Inside, the place is beautiful. And a little collection of currency from around the world along with thing from the Spaniards time. But the best thing is the breathtaking view of the city.
$4 entry fee. Everything is written in Spanish so have a guide or Spanish speaker in your group. A small drink bar offers soda and water for $1.50 a bottle. Odd there were beggars on the outsides of the wall asking for money. They used sticks to reach up closer to the high walls of the Convent and asked for donations to be given. Felt safe just odd.
Nice place for a quick visit. Great panoramic views across all of Cartagena Colombia. Would recommend a taxi, as the buses stay for 2 hours, which is a long time. Convent is nice, some wires looking statues!
This place offers an impressive hilltop view of Cartagena. It is about a 25 minute trip outside of the old city and should only cost you 22-25 COP.
The convent was quiet on this day, but I'm sure it can get busy. The cost was 10 COP to get in and there are some quant rooms.
