The description says "Catholic Church"
I rather have something like A Salt Mine with a Church build 180mts below the surface.
It's a great "park" sort of an.amusement park with plenty of activities for children and adults alike.
The entrance to the mine with its access tunnels was used to portray the different stages of the "passion of the Christ" although no pictures or sculptures of Jesus are shown in these stages. It's mostly croses and lights.
One of the main attractions is to be inside a huge salt mine see the structure and the size
An added bonus is the religious motives that can be found.
There are stores inside the mine where you can find local gem stones like emeralds. (Make sure you know a real stone from a fake one)

I took an Uber from Bogota up to Zipaquira but there are also many tour companies that include the trip there in their pricing. I loved everything about this experience minus the fact that they charge you extra for being a foreigner. The cathedral itself was stunning and surreal. There’s a few areas where the ceilings are really high and it makes it a truly unique experience.

We took the tourist train from Bogota which includes a shuttle bus up to the Catedral. We didn't have time to wait for the English tour, so we went with the Spanish one but soon let it move forward so we could have time to enjoy the Catedral without crowds of people. The Cathedral is very impressive, clever lighting that sets off the carvings well.

Oh my goodness!!! This place blew my mind away and im not even Catholic nor Christian. The intricate details, detailed tours, extras like the light show, 3d museum, mines exhibition make it all worthwhile. The entry fee of 50k pesos includes a guided tour in either English or Spanish but I felt bummed that I couldn't keep the ticket as a souvenir for that price. You literally get a crash course in chemistry, geology and Christian religious knowledge here. It was one of my favorite parts of my trip. Be warned, it's a bit on the outskirts of town so it's harder to get to but there are cabs that do go there.

I loved this place. It's amazing to see and the air is spectacular in the cathedral. Make sure you bring some good walking shoes as you will be hiking up and down pathways. It's a very peaceful place to visit and get out of the hustle and bustle of Bogota, the trip is relatively short, and very worth it.

Awesome place! your infrastructure it's so original, when you're inside, all around you are compound by Halite (Sodium chloride NaCl) and all inside of it its realized with a lot of details. Also their idea it's so original because is the unique church inside of land surface. The better is that you can do a many plans there and have a differents packages for enjoy of all attractions there. Highly recommended!

Great place! Really unusual experience, I haven´t seen anything similar before. You can book different tours, the only thing I didn´t like is the fact that foreigners have substantially higher entrance fee than Colombian nationals, unfortunately, there are lot´s of places like that in the whole Latin America. I don´t understand this, foreigner doesn´t mean automatically rich

Turning a salt mine into a place of all and wonder while glorifying our Lord is very difficult to understand unless you're right in the mines what if carved-out areas of worship. You're about a hundred feet down and you already start feeling what it was like to be one of the early miners. No doubt that these people suffered greatly. So, a tribute to their generations of hard work and the value and importance that they put on their faith is amazing. You need time to go through the space we made it in an hour and 30 minutes but truly it's a three-hour Adventure. Oh, be careful coming back up you're going to be breathing through your gills by the time you get up top.

A must see spot. Pretty near driving g distance from Bogotá and an amaizing salt mine with spectacular salt statues. Great service and English tour is included and super recommended.

I thought it was out of this world, maybe I had more expectations. Everything was built in the 1992. The via Crucis consists of 12 crosses. Normally religious places we feel this great vibe, but not there. The tour was with Yuan, great tour, it takes more than 1 hour. The show of lights it's unnecessary. The 3D is good. The salmuera museum is a repetition of everything.

The English tour is great and the 3D show explains a lot. The light show was more sleepy, but nice to rest. The world biggest cross underground can you find here.
