I won't describe the details. You must experience the %100 real Colombia, not the one they show you on tv and fake news. Amazing experience. 👍☕ Mr. Octavio is an innovator.
Humberto and Angela welcomed us and provided an experience beyond all expectation. Greated with home made deliciousness and the aromas of a living finca cafetera, we were treated to the full cup of coffee. From soil, to seed, tree to fruit, bean to burn, grind to cup. We left richer, fuller, and more caffinated. I can't wait to bring friends.
Superb service and friendly people. I was very happy with this tour.
These guys are simply fantastic. My wife and I can't begin to describe the experience we had at this place. We were given an indepth expose into the production of coffee like no other. We were taken up into the farm area where the plants are grown, how the beans are picked, how they are transported below, how they are washed, dried and then processed into the delectable beverage they produce. We were served 8-9 cups of coffee and ate until our hearts were content.
It was only after speaking to the many other travellers who had gone to Salento for their coffee experience that we felt privileged for the time we spent in Fredonia. The Paisas are of course very proud of their hospitality!! This is a must!
NB: Having Spanish ability will definitely help you get the most out of this experience!
Such amazing coffee and such great people! This is a small family farm and I came here with a small tour group. It is incredibly beautiful.
You get the authentic Antioquian family coffee farm experience here :) The tour given by the owner's son is very interesting, informative, has beautiful views the entire time, and teaches you not just about coffee production, but about the culture itself. The coffee tasting part is the cherry on top. Bonus: The traditional food which is lovingly prepared while you're there is made with fresh ingredients straight from the farm! Tip: Wear comfortable sneakers.
