As someone who can appreciate architecture, this is a wonderful building. I can only imagine someone who works or studies in the the architectural field would appreciate the design. There seems to be more public space than books. The floors and staircases are open-air. There's also alot of public art I really enjoyed. The library is surrounded by water and a park. Tip: make your way to the top of the building, which is a public space and outdoor theater. You get a panoramic view of the city and mountains. You're not allowed to take any photos in this area. A security guard said I wasn't allowed to take photos. When I asked the front desk about this, she said I needed special permission.

Really beautiful structure with great views. Too bad the guards say photography is not permitted. The Policía Nacional lets me take photos of the president's residence but I can't take pictures of the library? Give me a break.

A Great library, lovely children space to read and play, very good opportunities to share in family! And also have a simple but good enough restaurant Nd coffee in case you wanted

Beautiful building and peaceful environment.
Love this kind of spacious architecture. Visiting Biblioteca Virgilio Barco in combination with Jardin Botanico is a very nice half-day spending. Just do itresponse / report this review
