Muy mal Hotel. El precio exagerado para lo que ofrecen. El sitio descuidado. La atencion debe mejorar. No lo recomiendo para nada.

All week I was hitting "home runs"! Choosing the best places to stay and visit. After six days of traveling from Cartagena, through Baranquilla, and to gorgeous Santa MartaI planned this Hotel for my last romantic night. Now I realize that the reviews are fake and completely mistaken. Instead of stressing, we tried to make the best of it. The hotel does not put on the A/C. The temperature is about 94F and sticky. The Room had live insects on the roof & the walls, my girl killed most bugs on the wall, & there were dead ants under the bed sheets. The bathroom shower had insects on the floor, the bathroom sink and shower backup with water and don’t drain, and some of the electrical outlets do not work to even charge a phone. They did not even bother to clean the room for us! Every room they showed us got worse.
The balcony is not private at allit’s just Five sticks and two chairs. To walk barefoot to the pool it hurts because the pebbled (impractical) pavement hurts your foot. There is no Wi-Fi, only in the second floor has Wi-Fi sometimes with no A/C and insects that eat you alive while you sit on a sticky sofa looking for a signal like a loser. Then you have to walk from the heat from "Emeralds Forest" back into your cold room and it feels like Misery! Cold, sweat, cold, sweat, cold, sweat!
We ordered a coupled massage and got only "one massager" so we had to wait to do it one at a time. Hello? That’s not a couple’s massage? (Hello) Reservations were made a week in advance. I asked for a deep tissue massage and got soft rub down from an 85lb girl. No wonder they make you have a Massage License in the USA.
Tried to walk toward the beach in the back, but our foot submerged in half a foot of clay and mud for each and every step. We had to throw away my girls sandals and took me about 15 minutes to wash the mud off my shoes, it made a big mess all over me. Beach was no big deal, gray sand. Mangroves where all the mosquitoes live. The hardest worker was the only kid there, who had to do everything. Bags, bar, clean, cook, get orders, wash my car, serve our dinner, and kill the Giant Moths that would land on our dinner table. We were served in their 95F dining area with mosquitoes and insects eating your food before you. Misery, Oh, almost forgot. They charged me 95,000 pesos ($31) for a red wine that cost $4 at Publix. The other wine was even worse 75,000 ($25) for a $4 bottle at Winn-Dixie. Both had us sick all night!
Whoever wrote any review about the food is out of their mind. I did not eat any of my dinner! We gave it all to the kid (server) to take home. They had some local old lady cooking for us. What does she know about food? Probably never went 15 minutes away from her house in fifty years. By the way, I was the only person staying at the hotel. The A/C was not even turned on in the room when I got there. The owner of the house wanted 1,250,000 pesos ($403) to spend from 5 pm to 11 am in his room. The best part of this hotel was leaving, I checked out two hours early just because I wanted to get out of there. Even the employees look miserable to work there.
Got into the car, drove five minutes to the exit, took a big breath and was so happy to be out of there. "Bad Energy", but sorry to the owner, you should have more attention to details and when your guest are arriving. Stop being so cheap and put the A/C on! (Ridiculous!) I should have cooked myself. Almost forgot, no phone in the room to call front desk. Yeah too cheap, so you have to walk up four flights of stairs to ask for a Wi-Fi code that does not even work. Finally, the real review. So much potential down the drain for being cheap and trying to charge Miami prices. I spent three nights in a 5 star hotel in Santa Marta, for less than staying in this bug filled bums room in Avista for one night. You want money, well then here’s my review, you just bought it!!!!!! Now you got my money. Hope you are happy. “This is not your cup of tea”. You have to be an idiot, or okay with living in a trailer in "Death Valley" Arizona to stay in this dump.
