A great experience and well designed. Lots of different birds to see. There is a place to eat some snacks and grab a drink. The price is $10000 for parking and $40000 for entrance.

Well designed walking path through various bird habitats. Lots of gorgeous birds that appear to be well cared for. Good didactics, mostly in Spanish. Plus an entertaining and informative bird talk twice daily, again in Spanish. A bit pricey but definitely worth a visit.

Loaded up the car and attempted the drive to the Aviario from Cartagena however unbeknownst to everyone caught in the confusion the local authorities decided to close the bridge to Baru due to too many visitors. I know this stacks up in Colombia but if you want to attract more international tourists you are going to have to get your act together. We didn't make it to the Aviario and I am leaving this review to let others know that a bridge closure during busy holiday periods is a possibility.

I loved this place. It is massive and my girlfriend and I took a few hours to finish walking this place(including photo stops). You pretty much walk a linear pathway with a few areas where you can make quick detours. They have a lagoon teeming with waterfowl, smaller fenced enclosures for songbirds and such, an open marshy area with flamingos, and an extensive elevated walkway with a few very large and sometimes open enclosures where you can interact with a few of the inhabitants like toucans, parrots, cock-of-the-rocks etc. There's a couple of places to eat (including a local chicken chain that I found somewhat ironic). As this place is mainly outdoors, be prepared to bring plenty of sunscreen as you'll be exposed to the brutal Cartagena sun throughout most of your visit

Within seconds of entering the park we were blown away by the massive, colorful, diverse birds. Everyone seems to skip by this relatively hidden gem to go to playa blanca. Instead, go here in the morning when it opens (literally zero other people there) then go to playa blanca afterwards.

Stunningly amazing aviary in the middle of no where! Totally worth the drive. Impressive bird show. Lots of free range parrots and a HUGE eagle.

Great bird sanctuary with an incredible amount of birds mostly kept in large, walk-in cages. We loved the place which unfortunately is hard to reach by public transport. But apart from this disadvantage, a must see!

This is a well executed bird sanctuary.as good as any in the world, facilities along the walk are perfectly located, birds are everywhere so take you camera with spare batteries.the whole walk , taking lots of pictures, takes two and a half an hour.but, there is no rush.you can stay in one place as long as you want.the weather is warm, so, hydrate your self.

One of the most impressive aviaries we've ever visited! Would appreciate more English on the signs. The range of species is excellent. Great photo ops!
