Very nice hotel in the heart of downtown Tianjin. Accessibility to shopping malls nearby. Breakfast is mediocre but sufficient.

Stayed for two days on business. Rooms are unbearably hot, food average, weird smell and vibe. Shower was the only decent part. This seems like a Westin knock off.

The air conditioning doesn't work in the building, so it was about 86F in my room the whole time. Talking to others who have stayed there, I discovered that this is a long-known problem. The only solution is to have someone open a window, which would be fine except Tianjin has pollution issues and the pollution can come and gosince you don't have the ability to open or close the window yourself, you're best off leaving it closed, from a health and safety perspective. On the plus side, the hotel was very clean and the food was phenomenal.

Rooms are nice but a very potent odor of a pesticide. Even if you open the Window, the poor air quality doesn't help at all. Service seems good. Will try the food tomorrow and update!
