One time and One time only. Never going throught this airport or using the airline again "avoid it" if you can. Some passengers here used their 3 carry on and store it into the over head bin "Unbelivedable". Cultures shocked for real.

Clean terminal, lots of places for food and drink, water fountains provided play area for the children. Found it difficult to get information from staff about a delay to our flight and a lot of miscommunication.not many of the staff spoke English. Upper level of the terminal had a visitors bureau which was able to help and provided a lot more accurate information.

Everything great! But try to ride the metro instead of taxi if you are planning on going into the city! Metro could be faster, and definitely more convinient and way, way cheaper! You can literally go anywhere with the metro system in Beijing!

Arriving here is much worse than departing. I had read reviews about getting a taxi to the city, and how they try to scam you. I can confirm it now while I'm about to depart. When we arrived at PEK, travelling as a family of 3, 2 adults and a child, carrying 2pcs of suitcases, they didn't let us take a meter taxi, at the official taxi line supervised by some uniformed individual(!!!!) who looked like a cop, claiming that we can not fit all (people & luggage) in a regular taxi. This happened after they asked us where we're going and they tried to force us into taking a van into the city for 280y claiming that we have "too much luggage". So, I hired two metered taxis, I showed them the chinese direction, and we got where wee needed to go. Total: 85y each. That happened on the way in. On the way out, we called a taxi through the hotel, we all got in and it cost us 88y + 10y (toll). So, those who run the taxi line at the arrivals level try to scam foreigners into taking some kind of 'fixed-price' taxi and maybe geta cut as well. Be on alert.

The Airport train is a reasonably priced fairly quick way to get from the airport into the city or back to the airport.
