Hard to find, because the temple is located in a closed garden. But it is a peaceful place, not so much people there, worth to visit!
It is not a very big temple complex so there is not much to see, you cannot climb up the pagoda. There is admission charges but it is a good place to see people doing their worshipping. If you are so inclined, you may try to meditate under the banyan tree.
One of the most warm temples I've been to. I really think it's a must if you ever visit Guangzhou
You can use MRT, at Gongyuaqian on exit I2. Just go straight and turn right at Jiefang N Road
The historically most important Buddhist Temple in Guangzhou and in South China. With several old buildings, figures etc. The temple area has been reduced and damaged by traffic buildings and houses after "revolution", but there is a certain roll-back and renovation trend over the last years. - All in all a symbol, how "Chinese Culture" has been treated during the last decades
Great photo opps (variety of statues, etc in one location)
A quiet place in the big city. Admission is five yuan but that includes three incense sticks.
Temple of the Six Banyan Trees is a magic historical place and admission is for free. Sit down and relax under a banyan tree in and feel the spiritual importance of this Pagoda carried for more than a millennium (originally built in ad 537).
The temple's proximity to foreign consulates in Guangzhou has made it a regular destination for families participating in the international adoption of children from China. Typically families receive blessings for their newly adopted children at this temple in front of the statue of Kuan Yin.
Admission is only five Yuan. This a Great place to sit down relax under a banyan tree and meditate upon the vast expanses of deep history. Sitting in a place that has held a spiritual importance for more than a millennium and a half can't help but to move a contemplative mind. The pagoda is iconic, before the age of skyscrapers it was one of the distinguishing features of Guangzhou . Check it out if you are near.
