A must do in the Shandong province. A strenuous hike. For those that do not want to climb the whole mountain, there are cable cars after the first section. It is an amazing experience. The view is great and finishing the hike gives you a great sense of accomplishment. It's phenomenal to see the elderly and those with physical disabilities take the challenge to climb as well. Some do it to accomplish the climb and some do it to pray at the top. It was really inspiring to see and meet such strong individuals!
Must-visit spot. Easy climb with cable car up, and walk down. Need a full day
one of my great experience for visiting China, and challenged myself from the flights of stairs to see the sun rising. When you are up there, remember to rent the coat and return back at the peak of the mountain, don't bring it down like me it was HELL.
This is an amazing and significant place that definitely marks a spotlight in the Chinese history. The emperor use to hike up for sacred offerings and prays annually. The air is so much fresher and cooler. There is hardly any vegetarian meals up here! One must stay overnight for the sunrise, it's totally mesmerizing! You can hire warm army coats from the street for the cold weather, especially the for the sunrise.
Great experience! The weather was very cold but it was great because walking up all those steps got me sweating! There were some temples at the top and lots of nice snacks to buy on the way up!
