Great fun! The park itself if good. I did expect it to be bigger than what it was. I went on each and every ride and attraction and meets. Got a season pass to go back everyday we wanted to but you can clear this park and ride all major rides in a day if you run and hurry. I dock a star for the rude people in line and people peeing in public. Believe me the people make a huge difference. Disney staff are very friendly and helpful.

The park is really large really beautiful. Despite being only open for 1 year, it has enough to do and keep you busy from park opening to park close.
Disney trained their cast members really well and they are very accommodating to those who do not speak the local language. If they can't understand you, they will find another employee that can.
This park has some of the most unique attractions ranging from a show featuring choreographed indoor skydiving, a physical challenge trail, and a motorcycle-like ride vehicle for a roller coaster.
Though the culture differences between the east and the west are different, that is no wrongdoing on Disney's part.
I do recommend going to the guest service counter located by the main gate. There you can purchase fast pass access to many of the rides which will help you easily make the most of your time at the park. I believe the cost is around $90 USD, if you can afford it, I highly encourage it.
My last trip is to find out when the Chinese Golden Week is. Do not come to this park during that week as many of the local citizens will also be visiting the park as well. Park capacity will be might higher during that period. Which is why I suggest going the very next week after a Golden Week. My belief is that most locals will be going back to work after celebrating the Chinese holiday.
Maybe because I went on a less busy day, but I didn't see any line jumping happening and the longest queue had us waiting 30 minutes.
*Side note: I went on a day when they were not busy, and I still recommended buying the fast pass bundle from guest services. I was able to ride every ride with the exception of Dumbo and the Carousel because I had made the purchase (and that was in a single day visit) Yes, wait times were pretty short to begin with, but I prefer to save time and experience as much as you can.response / report this review -

The best attractions of any Disney park in the world (TRON and Pirates of the Caribbean are truly outstanding and I could have merrily just ridden the two all day). Sadly, it's got the worst management. Queue jumping/line cutting/pushing in is a major problem and even when it happens right in front of cast members, they don't do anything. It's so annoying when there is a 3 hour wait time and people are just pushing past. It hasn't frequently in every queue I was in. There are two main flavours - people joining other people further up the queue (who invariably don't exist), or the people right behind you in the queue squeezing past at every turn. Also, they stop the single rider lines when it's busy, which is madness. 3+ hour waits and empty seats going round. Ride vehicle loading is poor. A cast member, who should be actively managing the process and putting people into the loading bays, generally just stands at the front of the queue and watches the chaos as people just push and go wherever they want. Occasionally the cast member will ask people to stop. Very poor. It's a shame, because if they could manage things more effectively, it could be the best Disney park in the world - they have the rides!

A little different from Disney world but still has a definite "Disney" feel. My boyfriend and I (both 21) had only one day to spend at the park so we chose not to ride any roller coasters because the waits were all 3+ hours.
We still had a fantastic time doing the smaller rides, shows and walking tours (mad hatters tea and inside of the castle). The food was festive but a little expensive in the true Disney fashion.
The park was extremely clean and there's and app you can download that is in English and has a map with bathroom locations, food menus and locations and wait times for the rides. You must download the app if you plan to go! Also the day we went was over 115°f and the park had a few air conditioned festival tents set up with tables in them to help guests cool off.
It should be noted that everything is in Chinese and cast members will speak very little English (like most of Shanghai) but since most things are geared towards families it is easy to get the gist of it. In addition line skipping is a really common occurrence so be sure to stand shoulder to shoulder while waiting in line. There wasn't a parade at the end of the night but a light show on the castle with fireworks.
I'm really glad we went for the 1 day but I'm not sure we would have needed more or will return. Overall it was a good experience.response / report this review -

This park is great with live shows for everyone and wide walking paths. Many eating options throughout the park. The staff are friendly and willing to help with directions and show/ride times. You'll feel really safe with security walking throughout the park. The rides are super high tech but mind you, everything is in Chinese. The Tron and the
"Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure" rides are my favorite. The outdoor trail park called "Camp Discovery" is also a must. They strap you to a harness and send you on your way with multiple paths to venture on a track rail. From walking under a waterfall to walking across a rope bridge.response / report this review -

Shanghai Disney Resort does not disappoint!
🔻 The Fast Pass set up is different from Disneyland (not sure about Disneyworld) - it's one kiosk area for an entire land so get in line as EARLY as possible. I've never seen fast passes run out so quickly!
🔻 Must Go On: Tron & Pirates of the Caribbean.

Big Disney fan here. Some of the best rides you will find in any Disney park. Do ride Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for sunken treasure, Tron: lightcycle Power Run and Voyage to the Crystal Grotto.
Good food can be had at Barbosa's Bounty and Tribal Table. Remy's Patisserie serves great pastries and coffee.
You can meet your favourite Disney characters and the daily parade winds through the park with lots of familiar characters.response / report this review -

Wow! This park delivers big time with amazing detail, original rides, a great hotel (Disneyland hotel) and the start of a real resort atmosphere. There are still a few rough areas that need to be improved dramatically, like crowd control and the nightmarish front gate and in-park counterfeit sale of "Dizney" merchandise while in lines and at shows. Otherwise, plan your trip and leave at least two full days to see it all!

The first Disneyland I've been, high technology rides (Pirates of the Caribbean was awesome), clean environment, and fantastic firework shows. That night being spent in Disneyland had brought back wonderful childhood memories and had made my dream come true. Five stars 😊

Best Disneyland in the world! Disclaimer: I'm a little (very) biased because I helped build this resort, but no longer work there. The Pirates and Tron rides are worth the trip, particularly if you're a Disney parks fan. Wait times are good on weekdays. Cast members could use better training but are improving with time.
