First let me say I know it is near impossible to rate an entire hospital on one visit to the emergency room but service in China has a way of being very consistent throughout any, one, orgaization here. I don't expect hospitals are any diffetent. No English spoken at the information counter in emergency. The lady at the counter just looked at me blankly when I said hello. The third person to try to help me actually spoke French to me first. I'm American. The guy who ended up helping me, in typical Chinese fashion, starts talking to another person who interrupted our conversation. This was after the first lady I approached, at information, told him to tell me I cannot come to the emergency. She did this without trying to find ascertain if I was in acute pain or any kind of discomfort. Her only, apparent, question was when did my shoulder injury happen.
