Nice airport but there are frequent flight delays and unstable wifi
NKG is a important airport in EAST of China, while the biggest airport in Jiangsu Province
Good airport but morning flight there is no food available till 6:30am Macdonald and Starbucks, subway don't open till 6:30am . For 7am flights you must check in at 5:30 so. . Messed up morning start lol
And finally flight delayed at the tarmac . . Not the morning I planned for but one must push on. Hahaha
My experience here over 2 trips saw close to 50% of the flights cancelled or delayed by over an hour. This was consistent with other reviews. There are not good shopping options, so don't expect to do your last minute gift pickups here. There are only a couple vendors, each with multiple repeat locations throughout the terminal with fairly high prices compared to what I've seen in European airports, and not a great selection of merchandise. I cannot speak or read Chinese, which made it very difficult to get around; I wasn't able to find gate agents or information staff that could speak English. Relying on the Google Translate app to type messages work ok for asking questions, but be sure to have it offline as the internet in China actively blocks anything Google.
Nice hardware, so-so service. but big minus for flights are always delayed for hours due to "traffic control" (there is military base nearby and flights must stop during DAILY training).
I did a very rushed shopping in this airport but I can tell you that some restaurants and shops give reasonably priced product and service, which is very rare in Chinese airports. Because most Chinese airports charge triple the standard price
not bad, not crowded, with train line to the airport now no need to drive the car!
Very different from other airports. Once you check in, you can't go out and buy things anymore or else it'll be very expensive.
