I stayed here for two nights in July 2016. The experience was really nice. The location of the hotel is very central and conveniently located near to the metro station, Laojie. There is a shopping mall in the same building, and you can find a bookstore, Starbucks and restaurants there. The entrance to the hotel is on the other side of the building, so it's very safe and separated from the shoppers. The staff is pretty attentive and friendly. The breakfast is great and I like the dining area. The room I got was a basic one, but it's very comfortable and clean. I would choose this hotel again if I come back to Shenzhen.
Awesome time here. Hotel is also located close to the boarder so there was no firewall with their wifi
Good location. The hotel new and clean.
Good location! Good service
This is my first time sharing my experience . I chose this place because Hyatt is my preferred hotel no matter where I go. I used points to redeem a room which at that time there was only rooms with king size bed available. I asked my friend to call to see if they have two twin beds available. They changed to a room with two twin beds but charged a fee of about RMB 6x I was in a rush to check out and my friend just paid for the stay. I emailed afterward. And the email forwarded to the same manager I dealt with in ShenZhen The manger there came up with different excuses because of different room types (but I didn't ask for an upgrade) then she said because twin bed room not online for redemption (then I showed her screenshot that this is not true) . Because of miscommunications I could go back there to ShenZhen and she will extend her apology
In a nutshell my friend said in china hotel brand doesn't matter. Though Hyatt is a foreign company, the managers aren't trained better to handle international travelers. I can imagine some people there are tricky and try to get some freebies through negotiations. I feel she treated my as one of them. No matter what incidents what complaints. She would just do the same way turn customers away.
