We asked for a pint wich was clearly described as a pint in the menu card and it wasnt a pint. We told him and didnt solved it. Then I asked for a cognac and it was like 5ml cognac. Its a shame because music is great.. But I felt they were laughing at our face.

What a hidden gem in Shanghai. I've been there 3 times on separate visits. They don't open until 5:30 pm so don't expect to get lunch here. The bands rotate through on a circuit with the occasional American band. I didn't try the cocktails but enjoyed the beer. Fresh and cold Murphy's Stout a nice break from the local pilsners. The owner and his son have many good stories to tell. Tip them well and stay for the music.

We literally stumbled into this place after running away from a crazy lady demanding coins. It's like stepping into a time warp - 1930s zydeco/jazz music, burlesque style atmosphere fun environment! Avoid the mixed drinks, order beer instead.

French band playing American Jazz standards in a bar in Shanghai, what could be better?

Environment and atmosphere are really nice, good music, but it's better to have a beer here, they don't know how to make cocktails.
