One of the biggest transportation hubs I've been to. I recommend to arrive here well before departure time as queues for train tickets and security checks might be long, depending on what day and what time you need to take the train.

Huge hub! Hongqiao Int'l Airport, Railway Stn & Subway(Metro) all in one place. Makes it easier to travel & good connections. Be prepared with lots of walking & finding your way. Some staff speak little English. Cons- no good food option.

Prepare for up to 2 security lines sometimes. Look at the top right side of the ticket - this is your gate number. Boarding the train is Body-Contact sport, be prepared :)

Extremely busy and always crowded with passengers. It's almost unbearable. The environment is clean but some local Chinese may be visually uncultured. Toilets and facilities are all well maintained. There are stalls and shops.

It's a huge station. I mean HUGE. Be careful, you can get lost here. Stay close to the gates, as you can get easily distracted by the oh-so-many tourists. Only place to take the bullet train to Beijing, so, yeah, recommended.

It's an incredibly huge station. Consist of subway, high-speed rail, international airport, bus terminal and shopping mall. Crowded place.

traveling via high speed rail is a very effective way in China. This station is huge and a bit chaotic for the first timers.
