  杭州大剧院位于杭州钱江新城南端钱塘江边的之江东路，总占地面积145亩，总建筑面积约5.5万平方米。建筑由加拿大著名剧院设计师卡洛斯·奥特设计。其西南方向是杭州国际会议中心。

  杭州大剧院 听语音
  杭州大剧院坐落于钱塘江边的之江东路，总占地面积145亩，总建筑面积约5.5万平方米。其建筑设计者是加拿大著名剧院设计师卡洛斯·奥特先生，在他的统领下，德国、加拿大等国优秀的剧院结构、声学、舞台技术专家与杭州建筑设计院全程合作配合下完成了工程设计；是杭州市人民政府批准，由杭州文化广播电视集团控股的国有企业，于2001年7月正式开工建设，2004年8月建成并开始试运行，2005年4月，原中共中央政治局委员、书记处书记、中宣部部长丁关根一行在时任浙江省委书记、省人大常委会主任习近平以及时任浙江省委常委、杭州市委书记王国平等领导的陪同下视察杭州大剧院。2006年3月，杭州大剧院入选2005年“全国十大建筑科技成就”之列。

  I was there for a spectacular fountain and light show put on for the June 2016 G29 summit. It is easy to access, right above the metro and a shopping mall. The light show was like no other I have ever seen before.
