Closed Mondays. Bring your passport or an ID card to enter. You can only enter from the south main entrance. North gate is only an exit.

If you want to really experience Chinese culture and history, then this is the place to visit. On Chinese holidays, be prepared to literally jostle half of China in already crowded premises.
