Guangzhou zoo is surrounded by high rise units and not far from Teem mall.

Panda enclosure was closed when we visited and most enclosures showing sign of ageing.

Admission for 2 adults was 40 RMB and user pay for the rides.

Guangzhou zoo was built in 1958 covering an area of 40 hectares. The zoo attracts more than 5 million local and overseas visitors per year. I visited this nicely managed zoo on 17 January 2016 during my sabbatical stay in Guangzhou. Check my instagram profile @profnasr

Price is fair. You can see panda there. However, most of animals seem sleepy to me.
