I stayed there recently for seven days. The room is well serviced daily, but need to get of the shower mat as the under-side is mouldy. No complaint about the air conditioners; the bed, it's not firm like at some other hotels. Receptionist a desk speaks minimal English, hence not too helpful. The place is chosen because it has a indoor swimming pool. We used it a few years ago with no major concerns. However, very disappointed this time. Pool maintenance is not up to standard, with moulds build-up extensively below the water-line. The Male Change Room needs an urgent cleaning to eliminate urine odour. Say no more!!!

Very reasonably priced if you book on line outside of China. Daily maid service. Relatively good privacy. From my observation the majority of the patrons are non Chinese citizens.
The restaurant on the second floor stinks big time though, filthy, smelly, etc., reminds me the worst Chinese restaurants in the rural areas in the states.
On the plus side, the shared courtyard (with the neighboring several condo buildings) is pedestrian only and even provide a playground for the kids, which is a rarity in crowded downtown Shanghai.response / report this review -

Very good hotel where for a low budget you can have a service apartment it has a pool and sauna and sport facilities and convenient located close to Metro and large shopping mall and the French consession. And the front desk speaks reasonable English.
