Positive: the staff at the reception is nice, they let us shower after we checked out and even gave us towels. Location close to 2 metro lines.
Negative: looks better in the pictures. This hotel is only ok if you get an upper floor. We were there for 6 nights and they gave us an underground room with no window. I mean, if you are staying for all these nights, you deserve a better room. There were rats there and they changed our room after one night we complained only, then the room was nicer. Another couple we met at the reception was complaining about bed bugs in their room, and they were on the 5th floor. Finally, we made the reservation through Booking, and to my surprise, the hotel said to Booking i did not show up, so i couldn't write the review. This has got to be the reason why this hotel is an 8.1 in the web, because when you complain, they just tell Booking you never showed up. I would not recommend it at all.response / report this review -

Adore this hotel! My partner and I spent five nights total here. It is right near Dongsi metro station, a great restaurant across the road (159) and a hypermarket nearby too. They had a cafe right inside with great prices, good to grab a croissant and hot choc before you venture out. The room was great with nicely pressured showers. Without a doubt the best part of this hotel are the staff, especially the woman who speaks English very well. After our train cancelled to Shanghai we returned here for another night and they gave us a discount and were able to use their phone to call our Shanghai accommodation. Thankyou 161 hotel!

Good location and reasonable price. The room next to the street can be a little noisy sometimes but not bad, they are quiet after 11 pm anyway.

מלון קטן ומדליק עם מוסיקה מעולה וחיוך בכניסה .. אכן כן החברה בכניסה עם שירות מעולה פותרים כול שאלה . רק לא להתאכזב מהחדרים בכול זאת באים רק לישון .

Loved this hotel. Staff is awesome, the common area is really nice with espresso, croissant, etc. Wifi is the most stable I ever had in China.
