  Taniform University Institute is an Anglo-Saxon University, located in Nkwen village in Bamenda chief town of Mezam division of the Northwest Region of Cameroon. Recognized by the Cameroonian and USA Governments Founded in 2012 and went operational in 2014, the University started with a small clinic in May 2014 with the first consultations done on a wooden chair with a box of medications to assist the rural community whose nearest health facility is about 1km away headed by Dr. Atanga Desmond Funwie. Today Taniform University’s clinic has a well-equipped research laboratory, a standard pharmacy, a theatre, a maternity and hospitalization rooms.
  With the existence of a poultry farm and clinic, the founders deemed very necessary promote education through the creation of a higher institution of learning to meet up with the exponential growth of the population of Cameroon, and to assist the government in promotion of professional education through the creation of programs which exactly meet up the needs of the job market and help a long way to promote personal development.
  This lay private institution of higher learning is the conception of Dr. Protus Nkwana Taniform a dual Doctor of Education and Medicine. The Idea of establishing a private university came into play through the creation of a private health facility to help the rural community meetup with medical demands and establish a poultry farm to promote entrepreneurship amongst youths and the rural population. Taniform University Institute Bamenda (TUIB) stands as one of the most sophisticated private higher institutions of learning with over 30 lecture halls, a 1500 capacity auditorium, well equipped research laboratories, a training farm, standard library, free wireless internet, lodging facilities etc. Headed by the founding Director and Chairperson Dr Atanga Desmond Funwie (Clinical Psychologist & Project Consultant) the university went operational in September 2015 with four faculties:
  Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences (Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Pharmacy)
  Faculty of Humanities, Law, Social & Management Sciences (Accounting, Banking and Finance, Management, Insurance & Business Administration)
  Faculty of Engineering Sciences & Technology (Computer, Telecommunication, Electronic, Mechanical, Civil Engineering)
  Faculty of Agriculture (Agricultural Development, Food Science & Technology, Nutrition, Agricultural Engineering)
  Gaining an American base affiliation with some American based Universities Taniform University Institute Bamenda gain the standards after evaluation and recommendations to run a post graduate school of Health Sciences, Business and Education.
  Realizing professional and entrepreneurial education is the key to development and that education kills the disease of ignorance superstition fear and poverty (Abram Lincoln). As its mission calls it to go, Taniform University Institute Bamenda (TUIB), has been able to attract students from all over Africa. Today the Taniform University Institute Bamenda can boast of students from The Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Tchad, and China; and it is hoped that in the near future the sky will be the limit for this Pan-African, South & North American, European, Asian and worldly connections. The Taniform University Institute Bamenda has a very strong and able manpower of experienced experts. It is also interesting to note that the Taniform University Institute Bamenda is affiliated and is networking with many Universities and Organisations in the world.
