Whereas the person of the human being is made in the image and likeness of God, and therefore inviolate subject only to such exceptions as laid down by the law;

Whereas it is in consequence incumbent on all persons to have basic knowledge of the law for the defense of self and property;

Whereas there is need to demystify the law for the laity.
