Duration of Studies:
2. Professional Certificate Intensive – 9 – months – 1 semester (30 credit hours)
3. Professional Diploma – 18 months Intensive – 4 Semesters (60 credit hours)
4. Advanced professional Diploma – 18 months – 4 Semesters (60 credit hours)
NOTE: 1 semester is equal to 12-15 credit hours multiplied by 15 contact hours = 180-225 contact hours. A student is supposed to have passed with at least a “C” grade in 4-5 courses within the semester

Contact hours and Credit Hours:
Students will receive credit hours based on the number of “contact hours” they spend studying per week in class
• A contact hour includes any lecture or lab time when the professor is teaching the student.
• A semester credit hour (SCH) is equal to 15-16 contact hours per semester, and does not depend on the duration of the course
Entry Requirements:
• Entry to a Diploma program requires completion of secondary Education or equivalents. For example: One GCE A-level plus four GCEs O-Level or two GCEs A-Levels or any qualification equivalent to one or more of the above.
• Baccalaureate
• The minimum age for registration for the majority of programs is 18.
• Entry to an Advanced Professional Diploma program requires completion of the Diploma Level of the selected program.
Training Content Delivery Methodology:
All students are expected to complete assignments, exams and projects using a variety of computer technology formats for any course in which they are enrolled. As part of the learning experience, a faculty member may use technology to enhance his or her course. There are various formats that could be used:
• Traditional: 100% on campus, in classroom
• Online: Completely online with no classroom meetings
• Hybrid: Online course with some limited classroom meetings
• Web Enhanced: Traditional class meetings with required web assignments
• Web Companion: Traditional class meetings with supplemental web assignments

Foreign Trained Graduates Credential Evaluation Support:

HITIC would equally support and assist our students seeking admission as foreign trained graduates by working with approved credential agencies to obtain original evaluation reports showing the UK and U.S.A. equivalency for academic credentials earned in other countries to facilitate the progress to degree entry. Agencies may include but are not limited to:
• A current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), OR
A current member of the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE),

Course Materials and Didactic:
We offer a diverse selection of courses from leading universities and cultural institutions from around the world. You can learn by watching videos, listening to audio and reading articles. Many of these steps are followed by short quizzes to help students check that they have understood.
Internships, Service Learning, & Volunteer Programs:
Students have a variety of options for applied experiences including paid internships, academic internships, service learning, and volunteering while receiving academic credit.
We have contacted institutions and companies local and international who are willing to accept our students for internship. These internship programs will engage students in professional development activities primarily for the purpose of providing hands-on experiences that enhance student learning or understanding of issues relevant to a particular area of study.
The internship program will involve a Short-Term Agreement (1-6 months)

Registration Fees
Student Registration fees for
• Standard HITIC Awards and programs – 50.000 FCFA
• Registration Renewal Fees – 25.000 FCFA
• Standard Examination Entry Fees are as follows:
o Professional Certificate Level Subjects – 25.000 FCFA
o Professional Diploma Level Subjects – 25.000 FCFA
o Advanced Professional Diploma Subjects – 25.000 FCFA

Tuition:
• Professional Awards in Business – 250.000 CFA per Semester
• Professional Accreditation Programs – 500.000 CFA
Accommodation:
Provisions for accommodation will be made for HITIC students to live on-campus. The luxurious facilities at the African Center for Community and Development will serve as dormitory to host our first time students. Negotiations are currently ongoing for its use.
• Annual Dormitory Fees per Student – 300.000 CFA

Course Entry Requirements / Level:
HITIC programs are structured in 'Levels'. These Levels are designed to provide a structured and progressive level of knowledge. Entry to HITIC Professional Certificate Level 1 & Professional Diploma Level 2 Programs requires completion of secondary education or equivalent. For example:
• One GCE A-level plus four GCEs O-level (or equivalents) or 5 GCEs
• A suitable national or international technical education certificate award
• Any qualification equivalent to one or more of the above
• The minimum age for registration for the majority of programs is 18.
• Applicants over the age of 20 who do not hold one of the recommended entry qualifications may also register for some Diploma Level programs providing they have been in full-time employment for a minimum of two years and can produce a letter from their employer to confirm this.

Entry to HITIC Advanced Professional Diploma Level 3 Program

• Requires completion of the HITIC Professional Diploma Level of the selected program.
• Associate degree holders are eligible for admission
• Applications from those over the age of 25 who do not meet the standard Entry Requirements will also be considered providing they:
are over the age of 25
have been in employment of 5 years – a letter of support is required from the applicant’s employer; and hold a management or senior supervisory position
