  Cool old hotel, seemed like you where stuck in a 1950's adventure spy novel, great visage, pool area is beautiful. Worth the trip from Santiago or Mendoza.

  It is a great place to skiing.
  The Ski resort is located alongside the road from Los Andes (Chile) to Mendoza (Argentina); it is the International Route and due that, it is almost always possible to drive to the hotel.
  In 1987 Michael Prufer reached over 217 Km/h over a special slope disigned for hi-speed, here in Portillo
