This place is beautiful and is frequented by lots of Chileans. We visited in March after a night of rain and the natural water spillways we're spectacular! It's also just off the main road making it quite accessible. Looks like it would be serious Class VI rapids but I can imagine Middy Tilghman spilling over these cataracts.

Wonderful place! Great view to Osorno - the colour of the water, the sound of it, the lava - just stunning. But - many visitors in February.

Nice place with awesome views on the waterfalls and the volcano in the background. Entry is $5000, which is quite expensive. You can walk around the small paths for an hour or two and enjoy the streams around and another waterfall nearby.

Don't now if it's just me or I prefer to visit this place in winter time But the improvement showed in the last five years, helps to avoid the stress about the crowd 😁 finally there is a world class visitor center, where you can book tours, buy jewellery, handicrafts souvenirs or just enjoy a coffee and local sweets!! There are good hiking trails to enjoy alone or with your family. This place is a must!!

Stunningly beautiful river, waterfalls and setting. Volcanoes in the background on a sunny day. Three different short hikes are available. One smaller lagoon with waterfall is pretty and less crowded. This is a destination for cruise travelers and can be very very crowded if they happen to be there, as was the case for us.

Great powerful waterfalls and beautiful pools. Orsorno volcano in the background when it appears out of the cloud. Don't bother with the food or coffee though. Terrible and expensive.

I visited Saltos de Petrohue in 2010 and I’m disappointed to say it’s become super commercialized and now it’s completely overrun by tourists. We arrived early and by the time we left there were more than 15 giant tour buses outside + hundreds of people, shoulder to shoulder in the area near the falls & hundreds more waiting to enter. It would be nice if the CONAF would open the park before 9AM and restrict access to tour operators before a specific time. The Chilean Government is very talented at selling out/ruining natural attractions (ahem! Torres del Paine, Valle de la Luna, , etcetera). It’s such a shame.

One of the best landscape I've ever seen, is just breathtaking, completely worth the ride. You can drive in the "Interlagos" route and do multiple stops to get different views from the river and the volcano. Currently the treks in the park are closed so the ticket is a bit expensive just to get the panoramic view, if you drive just 3km from there you can get the same view for free and with less crowd. The rafting is a must take tour (you can hire the tour before entering the park), the sights you get from inside the river, the experience of getting in that cristal clear water, is amazing.

Lots of water so the falls are quite spectacular. And amazing blue colour as the water comes from snow on the volcanos. I'm glad I'm travelling in the quiet part of the year as apparently the park is very busy later.

Naturally beautiful. Great place to visit. I definitely enjoyed more visiting it during winter than summer because of the amount of tourists.

What used to be a pristine natural place is now a overcrowded tourist trap. They charge admission (more for foreigners, beware), but the floods of people don´t even let you see or enjoy the views of the waterfalls. This is exactly how NOT to develop an attraction. The main building has only shops, not even a restroom, for that you need to walk across river past the admission point. Very disappointed, specially compared with 15-20 years ago.

Nice place to visit. Glacier-fed waterfalls with stunning backdrop of snow capped mountains. You will surely enjoy this place. A ten minute drive down an unpaved gravel road you can take a very scenic cruise to the town of Peulla.

Worth your time to visit. View of the cascades are excellent. Walk is flat and well marked.
