A natural setup close to the city, great for getaways and picnics

I have come back about 15 times. Well maintained gardens and open areas, not somewhere i would go as a tourist but as a local looking to escape the city for a few hours its fantastic. Great for kids and taking your dogs out for a nice long walk.

Beautiful extensive park with a wide variety of woodland (eucalyptus, oak, palm) and planted areas and a pretty, lake. If on foot it's quite a walk to see it all, and there's no cafe or kiosk to get refreshments - take a picnic!

Years back, I hit this place upon a bicycle tour. There is a train, the rest is walking.
On the way back I found a bus.
Impressive place, impressive collection of botanical items.
Nice and safe place.
Friendly and helpful staff.
