This border crossing is one of the worth experienced in my life. People usually queue with their car for many hours just to reach to the control and it takes another hour or two for queuing again to get the paperwork done and passport stamped!

Going from Chile to Argentina was very fast. Going from Argentina to Chile took about an hour.

El complejo fronterizo se encuentra colapsado durante todo el año, aduana ha puesto casillas externas para agilizar las colas pero no es suficiente. Para las largas horas de esperas existe un bar donde uno puede comprar café, agua caliente y comida. Por supuesto que los precios del bar son excesivos ya que no existe otra oferta. En cuanto al camino se encuentra en excelentes condiciones.
Recomendación: Antes de salir a ruta chequear las condiciones climáticas.response / report this review -

Had some issues as we crossed over the border to see Cristo Redentor, but didn't travel into Argentina.
Staff were friendly and helped sort out issues.
Great place for a border. Amazing views and mountain air is so fresh.
Roadworks caused some delays during our trip (December 2016), but these are probably temporary.
