This place is horrible looking, there are a ton of ugly drunks standing outside. You can never find a table. But they have the most amazing terremotos. Plus there are usually a lot of foreigners. Its fun to go there and meet new people.

I simple don't understand why there is people who rated with 1 star this place The name means what you're going to get, if you expect a fancy common place there are plenty of those all over the world.

What makes this bar unique is it's weirdness, you'll find people from all over the world, dress properly or not, poor/rich, honest/dishonest, etc. Nobody cares about the images and you can enjoy local drinks and food. There is no music because eventually an artist will come to play for everyone.

Amazingly simple, they invented the Terremoto drink that gets you high and happy. When we came there were no tourists but we've been told that usually it's full of tourists.
Definitely not high class, everybody goes la piojera to have cheap drinks and nice talks.
We loved it.

It's a very touristic place and it is good to have fun in groups. There you can find typical plates and drinks like 'Terremotos' or 'replicas'

This is where you want to go if you want to experience something unique. In the North American mind this would be considered kind of like a dive bar but its definitely much more. This place is an institution. You will meet people from all walks of life. Food is traditional Chilean fare but you don't go there for the food. Its for the Terremotos (This is the drink everyone orders), the good times, and the blurry memories. Don't be afraid to talk to people, Chileans are friendly. Note that this place will probably be super crowded but that's the nature of the beast. Love this place and it will always have a special place in my heart.

Famous bar in Santiago for having a Terremoto. The place had live guitar music when I dropped by during lunch time. Service was friendly and fast. Great place to party with friends.

The definite Chilean bar, with it's floor covered in peanut shells, drunk customers gathering around the bar, loud music and crazy alcoholic beverages (the "terremoto", aka the "earthquake", is a mix of alcohol -don't ask me which one- with ice cream). Doesn't sound fancy ? It isn't. Not for hipsters nor for the faint of heart.
