  The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot, the food was excellent, but the hospitality was phenomenal. When I left, the owners Paul and Paula felt like siblings.

  PROS:
  - Convenientemente ubicado a 500 metros apróx del comienzo del sendero a La Junta. Es un buen lugar para pasar la noche anterior.
  - Acceso al río. Se puede acceder fácilmente a una zona perfecta para descansar, pescar o darse un chapuzón.
  - El alojamiento incluye dos tipos de desayuno: (a) pan con queso y huevo; (b) bowl de avena (con frutas y cacao). Cualquiera acompañado de té o café
  
  CONS:
  - El sistema eléctrico. El lodge funciona con energía solar y las habitaciones están equipadas con cargadores USB. Aunque es una solución amigable con el medioambiente, tuvimos problemas de compatibilidad con nuestros dispositivos. Los iPhone sólo cargaban en uno de los cargadores (habitación central). La cámara fotográfica sólo cargaba en la toma del mostrador (sala de estar). Esto dificultó bastante la carga en paralelo.

  Paula and Pavel welcomed me into the beautiful lodge they built in the middle of winter and gave me the best meal of my trip. My stay at La Frontera was definitely a high point of my vacation!

  Amazing place, relaxing, native forest and fuana, great walks all around, various types of birds and great rootsy Gaucho culture very alive and well here. Clean fresh river with various pools and beaches, great float to the ocean for a 1/2 day trip of fun. Ia junta is a 5-hour trek from here, and this place is great to prepare before the adventure up to la Junta, or relax after have already explored. Owners are helpful, friendly and bi-lingual in various languages. Make reservations for newly built cabaña.

  Really calm and relaxing - though right next to the road on the way up la junta walk, if high season can be a bit noisy. Beautiful forest camping and access to the river, so you can hide from the border amongst the trees if camping. Dormitories being built and should be available in the new year. Super tranquil!,
