La casa de Henao is a bed and breakfast that's run by a couple. It's close to most of the seeworthy touristy places of Valparaiso if you are interested in that. Amazing standard in all the rooms, that includes modern bathrooms, matrimonial rooms with access to possible kids' bedroom if you're traveling with children (can be used as separate rooms for adults as well), and a great breakfast every morning that is served in an amazing inner garden. There is also a big kitchen that's fully equipped with everything you might possibly need for cooking lunch or dinner there (if you by any chance want to stay in and not visit one of the many local restaurants). It is available for everybody staying at La Casa de Henao.
There are a couple of apartments the Henaos are renting out that is not in the same building but really close by (maybe 30 meters from the Bed and Breakfast). They are clean, well guarded with a secure gate, equipped with modern furnitures, a kitchen, a visitors' and a main bathroom and access to a terrace up on the roof. There is a living room and two bedrooms in each of the apartments.
Jose G. Henao is a legend himself with 30 years as a marine in US Marine Core (he is now retired). He's been living in Chile for a long time and has great knowledge of Valparaiso so don't be shy and ask him for tips on restaurants and places worth visiting!
Jose and his wife, Karen are really catering to all your needs and you won't have to pay loads of money for it. La Casa de Henao is an amazing gem found up in the hills of Valparaiso. Greatly recommended!response / report this review -

Exelente atencion, muy buen desayuno, ambiente familiar, gran limpieza. De primer nivel todo, exelente ubicacion, toda la locomocion a la puerta. Felicidades a la familia Henao!!

The weirdest reception I ever got in South America. Was told normally no walk in guests. rooms are 70usd , fine with me , told the lady I was sent here by Villa Kunterbunt from across the road. Needed to produce my ID. Would it be possible to see the rooms before i pay? normally not. was asked where I slept last night.that was the moment I retraced my steps out the door. got insulted while leaving. was told to "leave quickly"! Same Lady called across the road a minute later to apologize. Wow! I can only confirm the comment of the other reviewer done below"muy desagradable"!
