  Ambiance was basic, nothing special. Beer was floral and wheaty.

  German through and throughbeer is delicious and holds true to the Reinheitsgebot! Limited selection ensures you are getting the best of the season. Chill atmosphere and great service that won't lead you wrong.

  I'm an American who spent 4 months studying in Valpo and stumbled upon Hotzenplotz with some friends and it quickly became our go to spot. Some of the best food I've ever eaten and the beer is even better. It is quite the gem and I hope I can make it down to Chile again, even if just to eat Hotzenplotz's pork chops, have a few beers and to talk to the unbelievably friendly staff again.

  Fun place to eat and drink beer. Three days before Christmas and yes they have Christmas draft along with a wheat beer. Pork chops with sauerkraut, yum. Great change from what we've eaten the last three months down here.

  Place is cozy and nice. Most likely you'll find interesting people from all over the world there. Just to be recommended.
