Small, but clean room. Good location. Front desk staff weren't very friendly. Minimal breakfast.

For an Ibis hotel it has very spacious rooms and a truly very helpful and obliging reception ladies who speak perfect enenglo. Highly recommendable!

Loved this hotel. It is near the harbour, half a block from a metro station and connected through trolleybus and bus to everything interesting. We had one room with a beautiful view of the harbour and metro and one with ugly buildings only. We were on the fifth floor and it was very quiet, even though the hotel is on a busy avenue. The buffet breakfast is not great, but it is a good price as compared to restaurants nearby.

The ibis was perfect, close to the downtown area, and close to the funicular to explore the many hills and history of Valparaiso, lots of restaurants.

En mañana (7am) se escucha la música del gimnasio MUY FUERTE.
La loza del desayuno estaba mal lavada: saqué 5 vasos para jugo y estaban todos pegoteados y manchados. Lo mismo con los platos y cubiertos.
Informé a la persona del hotel que estaba y cambió las cosas.
Buena cama y baño limpio, pero muy helada la habitación!response / report this review -

We checked into the Ibis after finding our apartment in Valparaiso was actually 90km away. We use the Ibis chain in Europe as a reliable no frills budget hotel chain and so we were confident that we knew what to expect in Chile. We weren't disappointed, check-in was very straightforward and we soon had 3 rooms close to each other on the sixth floor. After checking out the following day, we decided to stay another night in Valparaiso and were able to check back in again, once more with no fuss at all. The only downside of the rooms is the Facebar, which is open into the not so early hours of the morning, and the noise is particularly noticeable between 2 and 4am.

Overall I had a positive experience. However, the quality of the food is low. It would also help having face towels in the bathroom.

It was nice. I would stay again. Frankly, I was displeased with there not being an option for late checkout on the last day, especially since many of the rooms are not cleaned until hours after checkout. When I say not cleaned, I mean the housekeeping staff does not get to the room. Therefore it would not interfere with normal operation. The bar staff was great. Some of the front desk staff could be a little more knowledgeable about the area and perhaps a bit more friendly or accommodating to people who are not Spanish speakers. Having said that, the price is obviously great and you do have some wonderful staff. Great location.

The Ibis is well-located, well-appointed and well-priced.
Rooms are spacious, modern and clean.
Beds are comfortable.
Since a charge is applied for breakfast, the shortage of food items and cutlery, broken coffee machine, etc. are less tolerable (despite the pre-cruise crowd).

Broken mattress, reservation problems, payment problems (I have an USD credit card and they charged me in CLP, so I had to pay 19% taxes that foreign tourists shall not pay), dirty dishes and cups, unfriendly attendance, poor breakfast, ugly surrounding area, etc. The worst hotel I stayed in my life.

Hotel adjacent to Puerto metro station and port. Reasonable price (all you can get in Valparaiso for comparable amount of money is a hostel / B&B room), decent room condition, friendly staff. One of the best Ibises I've stayed at.
