Good modern hotel. Recently renovated, looking brand new. Right in front of the sea, close to the casino area. Rooms are good standard size, comfortable bed and bathroom, nicely decorated in modern style, and with side view on sea. The only difficulty I had was with the light switch next to the entrance also switching off the bed lights when wanting to switch off the entrance light. Alarm sounded in the reception area at 02:15 night, waking the whole hotel. When alarm also sounded in front of my door I rushed downstairs. False alarm. But hotel’s communication system was not used to inform guests of the same, creating lots of confusion with many people in their door opening not knowing what to make of the alarm.
One block from the hotel I highly recommend Barrilito Beer Shop and the Sativo restaurant. If not being informed about their existence you probably would never consider them, because a bit off the main road.response / report this review -

Clean modern hotel with friendly staff. Very recently refurbished. Pool was not complete during my stay in January 2018. Food is average

This hotel was amazingly located for someone like me who visited the area for the first time. The staff was very kind and the room itself was clean. Perhaps a little outdated but no complaints about the room itself. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of selection. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to run along the coast for exercise.

Fue un placer pasar unas noches aquí, aunque nunca pude probar sus desayunos buffet, pero es cómodo y placentero, es algo tardado en que te reciban en recepción y lenta la atención, estas pagando como para que te hagan esperar tanto, para solo registrarme mínimo 15 a 20 min tarde. Pero amo este bello país.

Schönes Hotel in optimaler Lage. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist gross und schön angerichtet. Einziger Abzug ist der Pool, der nicht geheizt ist.

El Hotel San Martín es uno de los más tradicionales de Viña del Mar, tenía un aire de movimiento moderno espectacular y muy viñamarino, pero una remodelación modificó su planta baja, volviendo a dicha parte un espacio neutro. Tiene música en vivo en el bar, donde puedes pasar a relajarte tomándote un trago y si le quieres sacar una foto al edificio, su mejor vista es probablemente desde la Avenida Perú.
