  The location is great and the view is spectacular. Great price too! BUT the hotel is old; probably only minimum maintenance has been done over the past 30 years and when you walk into your room it looks like you're entering a movie from the 80s. The towels are add old as the hotel itself and on a really bad note, it is only accessible through stairs (from the street and then another staircase to your room ) so this is no place for the physically challenged. So good place for young couples to spend the night only and walk around all day long.

  Have stayed in this hotel in the past. Gorgeous location. I made a reservation this past December. The policy says you have 48 hrs. to cancel before the credit card is charged. Unfortunately we had to cancel the trip and I canceled the reservation within 6 hours of having made it. The hotel had charged my credit card and has not refunded my card yet! Too bad that I will not be able to stay in this hotel ever again due to its staff's lack of seriousness with their policies.

  Spent a couple of nights in this hotel. Pros: Generally clean and the staff was attentive and amiable. Cons: Rooms and facilities were small, bathrooms had the absolutely minimum furnishings, no air conditioning, car parking is small and in open air exposed to the elements, including sea breeze and salt. Also, traffic makes a bit dangerous to get the car into the lot. The staff didn't bother cleaning under the beds and the small courtesy safe in our room didn't work. Despite being described as "free" is expected to leave a tip for certain services, like meals.

  friendly service, nice jr. suites with a beautiful view to valparaiso and the waves crashing in right before the hotel ;) NICE
