    Eat here!

Stumbled onto this place after spending a couple of hours at the Museum of Memory and Human Rights It's a short, safe walk away.

Gargola is located in an eclectic neighborhood of old homes and very interesting architecture. The restaurant owners live above the space that doubles as an art gallery. They also make all the furniture (tables and chairs) and they are for sale too.

Food and drink are local and imaginative. Everything was delicious. We were a table of six adults (all Americans) and everyone raved about their selection.

Great Chilean food in a historic, charming setting. Although the space has certainly seen many uses since its construction in the early twentieth century, since the late ‘90s, the owners had been using it solely as a gallery to showcase the furniture they designed and artwork they created. Five years ago, however, they decided to open a restaurant to complement the gallery, and the result is wonderful. Today, the attractive space comprises an outdoor patio, a bar, and a glass-enclosed inner patio perfect for sipping on cocktails or enjoying Chilean tapas. The gracious staff was amazing—especially for a group of foreigners who needed to brush up on their Spanish. Great food at a great value, don’t forget to take in and enjoy all of the wonderful art around you.

A really nice and cozy place! I was alone but never felt so, the stuff are extremely professional and friendly. The food is local and well prepared, I had seviche and more fish as the main. Both dishes were amazing. They kindly ask before if I wished to add a tip, when many other places never bother. I will definitely come back!

    Recomendo imensamente!
