We were pretty disappointed by our experience here. We made a reservation for a specific table which was confirmed when we called. Upon arrival, they told us that two people alone could not sit there, it must be more. When we pressed that we had a reservation, they then said there was a minimum spend for the table of 200,000 CLP. If this had been explained during the reservation, we would not have come from the other side of town just to eat here, and could have come with more people. This could have been avoided by properly training the people who make reservations.

A place with an interesting setting. Not only the name is related to Laura Esquivel's book, but also the menu.

I did my homework and read a lot of good reviews before going to this restaurant, i have to say it did not disappoint, the food was scrumptious, definitely the best i have had in Santiago.
I give it five stars because of the food but i think the ambiance could be more romantic if they dimmed the bright post light and the chandelier in the middle.ohh and background music would help too i liked the decoration thought,very cozy.
If you go by car there is a private underground parking building around the block on Bellavista, i do not recommend parking on the streets in that area, the men that have a reflecting vest and help you park DO NOT work for the city ,we tried that first and the man demanded half payment upon parking otherwise he couldn't warranty our car wouldn't be stolen!! we left immediately and found that other garage.
Other than that we had a lovely evening!

Tasteful exclusive dishes. Atmosphere is very peculiar, friendly staff and very expensive. The restaurant is full of tourists. Reservation is needed.
