One of the best hostels in SA. Great staff, excellent kitchen, areas to relax in, bar downstairs with BBQ area. Rooms good and beds comfortable. No complaints. Also their tours are very good.

This place really felt like home for my 3 night stay :) The breakfast of toasted bread, cheese and eggs was a great start to the day. The layout of the hostel is really efficient and clean (re: bathrooms) and the living spaces were so comfortable. When it's raining in Ancud (which it does on and off a lot) I was more than happy to chill in the hostel as the workers and travelers were awesome company. Definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Charming hostel, lovely breakfast and helpful staff. The perfect hostel! Seriously, Claudio, the owner, is a generous person that will help you, give you advices and recommendations in order to visit Ancud and the island. It feels so good to be in that hostel.

A beautiful house with amazing staff who are very kind and helpful!
Pros:
Location- across from bus stop in Ancud
Parking- plenty, big driveway, secured at night
Staff- absolutely wonderful, especially Seet, Tracy and Angelica! 🌞
House- a beautiful old house with wood interior, comfy furniture, a balcony, and nice hangout spaces, adequate number of bathroom facilities
Breakfast: Angelica makes fresh scrambled eggs for each person. Breakfast menu includes the following: scrambled eggs, bread with jam, sliced cheese, cereal, fruit, tea
Kitchen- excellent, big, sunny kitchen for cooking your own food
Wifi- works great- yaaaay!!!
Cons:
Heat- They turn the heat off at night and don't turn it on again until the next evening.
Shower- Let it run for a while and you'll get warm -but not hot!- water. Pressure is decent though. Be forewarned you will need to bring your own towel as they are not freely given to each guest. And with no heat on in the mornings, it can be a cold endeavor to air dry
The shower curtains are the thin plastic type that blow into the shower and stick to your body while showering.
No hot water in the bathroom sinks so wash your face in the shower :)response / report this review -

In our time on Chiloé, Trece Lunas was without a doubt my favourite hostel. It has the nicest kitchen I've ever seen in Chile and the staff are really helpful. Breakfast is amazing, the water pressure in the showers is awesome, and the hostel dog is so sweet. All in all, if you stay in Ancud, you'd be a fool to stay anywhere else.
