Backyard Tours gives our overseas visitors an opportunity to meet locals and see how they make their products. You get to hear their stories and learn more about our Culture through the locals themselves. You can see them in action in their own backyards. So this makes shopping unique and extra special.
This is more than just SHOPPING. We take you to place where no-one else goes. Meet a Shell Carver, a Wood Carver, see how a Pareu (Sarong) is made by Aunty Poko, meet Julia - the Artist, see how a Ukulele is made plus much more. We offer a small intimate group which is ideal. Minimum 4, Max 14 people.
Average tours upto 3 hours including pick up and drop off. Sometimes, we can have so much fun, it can go over 3-4 hours.
Tour 1: Starts 9am or Tour 2: Starts 1.30pm Monday to Friday. Saturday afternoon available from 1.30pm only by special arrangement.
Fee: $55.00 per person. Families: two adults and two children - get a 10% discount. No additional discounts provided for larger groups unless prior approval from Backyard Tours.
Customised or Private Shopping Tours is also available - Based on specific shopping requirements.
Important because we care about you: Backyard Tours has a Business Passenger License. Backyard Tours has public liability insurance cover. Backyard Tours is in the process of being Cook Island Accredited by Cook Island Tourism Corporation.
