This embassy is useless with unprofessional US Citizen Service employees and worst C. Service I have ever met. Don’t you bother calling for service, u will be bounced to different helpless department until the phone disconnect What a shame !!

I really like the highly service provide by the consular office without discrimination. With Google we can grade the level of service that we receive. So, please grade the embassy whenever you have a chance to visit them for better of public service quality.

The United States embassy in Abidjan is doing justice to its Nation. It is massive, highly secured and functional. The staff and diplomats are informative even if if they sometimes tend to be snub . A large variety of services are offered there, including Visa services.

Pretty bad customer service (at least for the people I have spoken with). The consular office operators treat people like morrons and often hang up the call on the customer in the middle of a question.
Many times there's no answer during regular business hours (when calling) or you simply hear from the operator that the person qualify to answer your question left work early.

Finaly, handling most things via email is not really the most efficient way to address people's issues, especially when those emails do not recieve a reply in a timely maner.

United states embassy in ivory coast. It's situated in proximity of my house. The embassy surrounding and perimetre provide an usual and very good security to the building. One has to apply for the visa online with the expense of 100,000 cfa or 160 usd payment to get an appointment in the embassy. I had the opportunity to meet the then military attache and his deputy. The seemed to be very nice persons.

Great place to work, friendly colleagues. It was like a family.
I witnessed the groundbreaking ceremony of the building [Ambassador Arlene Render] as well as the official opening [Ambassador Aubrey Hooks]. Prestigious building worthy of America, beautiful landscaping.

At the opening, I remember, the Ivorian media jokingly wrote that the building made the French embassy in Abidjan look like a hut in an African village!
