  Great views of the lagoon and a short boat ride to the famous La passe D'assinie; where the lagoon meets the sea. The owner is Ivorian and very patient, laid back and a great resource for any questions regarding Assinie, Grand Bassam and Abidjan. He will take care of anything you need or delegate to the great staff!
  Excellent chefs and food; a humorous and friendly hostess, a team of pirogeurs (boatmen) at the ready, along with clean and operational surroundings due to the maintenence man and hard working grounds crew. I am messy and used to African hotels so the room cleanliness not being that of European hotels or lack of toilet seats was no concern. You could ask in advance for a double cleaning but you'll be at the beach all day anyways!!!
  This hotel employs many local youth and is an important part of the local community and economy. This alone is worth paying a little more than your average small Ivorian hotel but it has a "beach town" and familial vibe and plus you are privelleged to stay in the eastern most hotel in Cote D'Ivoire!
  The local boat transports and fisherman pass each day so there are many people watching opportunities and if you ask respectfully they may take you along as well!
  The hotel is well situated in town. 2 minutes from a grocery store, bars, monday market and a short walk to the bank. Safety and security are of no concern and I felt a genuine kindness and honesty from 99.9% of the people I met there.
  I would highly recommend this hotel! It is "cool" indeed, and you won't want to leave at the end of your stay!
