Don't get why this is rated so highly. The service was verging on rude and was very slow. The food was average and had little flavour. There was no atmosphere either. Better choices in Bern I imagine!!

Fantastic Rösti platters, first-class location with reasonable prices. But there is a very thick smell and time-worn, outdated interior, so if you don't prefer smelly and crowded places, rather visit it in nice weather when the terrace is open.

Absolutely love this place! Try the Volkshaus Burger if you like unusual burgers.
